PTSD CLINICAL RESEARCH
A controlled clinical trials study of Roadmind University.
Senticon

Senticon- from the French sente (path) and Latin sentire (to discern or perceive by the senses
and mind, to feel, to think) and the Latin, French, and Greek icon (an image or representation).

This new term for mental imagery has the advantage of not limiting this internal representation
to visual perception or what one can imagine as a picture in the mind.

Sensory reception also includes auditory, tactile, gustatory (taste), and olfactory (smell)
perception.   (Roerich, 2004)
Senticon traumatic memory processing of PTSD is a window of opportunity.
A senticon captures significant emotional life events.
An emotional threshold forms memory of the trauma.
Processing the senticon appears to process emotional trauma.
